We tend to think that our characteristics are permanent and hear people talk about themselves as one type of person or another, not realizing we are all capable of shifting into a different consciousness or ways of being in this world. It’s about becoming conscious of who you are, how you think and perceive, and then making the actual effort to shift your perspectives. Half-Empty or Half-FullHere is one old analogy perspective of whether the glass of water is half empty or half full. We know that each of us can perceive the glass of water differently. When we can take a moment and notice our thoughts and feelings we can then discover from which position we are engaged in. Are you in the half-empty glass of water consciousness, which is the lack of wanting the other half of what is not there and perhaps having feelings of entitlement and expectations? Or, are you perceiving the glass half-full, where we feel fullness and gratitude for what we do have and count our blessings, which is the half of a glass of water instead of nothing? One simple and amazing practice you can begin with is to become uber aware of how your subconscious or conscious thinking is playing out.
