Preventative Maintenance
Massage Therapy or Colon Hydrotherapy is not only for the “occasionally feel good’ treatment or waiting until something is very off balance. If this has been your perspective, you may want to change that to one of “Preventative Maintenance” for your body’s health, wellbeing, and longevity.
Taking care of your physical body pays off in the long run. Doing what you can every day, such as stretching, working out and drinking plenty of clean water is also key to your wellbeing. While creating a new pattern can seem arduous, once you get started that pattern becomes a part of who you are, and you will look forward to it every day!
Stretching your Hips and Hamstrings
When your sitting for several hours every day, that sitting is causing your hip flexors to tighten up. Do you find your steps becoming smaller and smaller? Everything in our body is connected to another part, and when your hip flexors tighten it can also lead to lower back problems and continuous pain. Also, when your hamstrings are too tight your muscles rotate your pelvis backward, which in turn can cause other problems!
Most folks overlook the importance of regularly stretching their hamstrings and hips. When we think of “working out” we can often feel like we just do not have the time to do a full workout. It’s good to know that it is not essential to do a full workout every time you work out. Try focusing on target areas. This will make your stretching and workout so much easier to fit in and it feels great to complete smaller workouts and then be pleased with yourself. These smaller stretching workouts not only give your body a better range of motion and increased circulation, but will also reduce your pain, stiffness and decrease stress.
When you compliment your stretching/workout routines with regular Massage Therapy treatments you will discover that it feels easier to work out and you will also experience immediate results.
